change

I've realized recently that I need a significant change in my life. I know that this is what New Years is all about, but I cannot seem to stick with anything. I am ready to get out of this town. I am ready to finally "begin my life" as some may say. I just want to do something with my life-- not merely become the "average housewife". All I know is that I need to constitute some changes with my attitude and my overall outlook on life. A few days ago, I watched a video about a 17 year old boy who had been diagnosed with leukemia already 4 times in his life. When this video was filmed, he only had one more month to live. He looked at this tragic experience as a blessing to himself, to his family, and to others. Being a devout believer in Christ, he was not scared of death. God used his illness as a way to bring his family and friends closer together. This boy, Clayton Mcdonald, shares his testimony with complete strangers in hopes that they will also come to the Lord. At the end of the video, he asks the audience to think about their lives and consider any changes that could be made. It was obviously easier for him, but he pointed out that we need to live everyday as if it were our last (I know so cliche right?). It is true though-- we never really know when we will breathe our last breath.
